Take a look around... (Click on photos to enlarge them.)
Original hardwood floors, 10' ceilings, crown molding, transom windows, peaceful colors, great art, some of my book collection, a white wicker front porch, a peaceful back deck, an outdoor patio with a concrete block couch, in a great little backyard. A private entrance and driveway that will accommodate 5 cars.
Take a look around... I hope your travels will lead you here... It is full of sweet dreams!

The living room and front king bedroom and bath are a soft gray. The couch is over sized, long and can be made up as a single bed. There is mesmerizing sand art above the fireplace that you rotate to change... a great black and white photograph of New York's Central Park, some games to play and personal treasures you may peruse. It's a place to feel at home.
The front bedroom got named the Hollywood Glam room. Mirrors that were on the wall became my inspiration.
It's roomy and elegantly simple. There's a bench to put your suitcase on and your shoes under, there's a closet, two mirrored bedside tables with only a clock on one and the remote on the other. I've tried always, to leave plenty of space for you...
The flat screen is above the double doors at the foot of the bed. The bath is simple and fresh with a great big shower with no step and a handrail, fluffy white mats and towels. Good light, in fact the light in these rooms is amazing. Brides of Oklahoma photographed a bride and her wedding party that were staying here! There are black out drapes for sleeping in, or blocking the afternoon west sun.

The back king bedroom got named the "board room" when I stripped away the knotty pine paneling, multi-layers of wallpaper, and uncovered the original ship lap boards that are behind all the walls in the house. In the 1930's they built with what they had or could put together. I whitewashed with milk paint and sealed. An old ammunition box serves as a dresser top with mirror. There is a bench at the foot of the bed, hanging space, and a very old workbench serves as a table below the flat screen on the wall opposite the bed. French doors open to your deck and back yard. There are shades and blinds if you want to block the east morning sun
The bath is located just off this bedroom in a hall that can be completely shut off for privacy. It has the original claw foot tub, that I took out of the house I renovated into Maria's Garden. It has been retrofitted with new hardware that even a 6'5 guy can shower under! Black and white tile, transom window, bead board, chandelier, sparkly walls if you look closely.

The twin bedroom and bath aren't quite as large as the kings, so they had to be really special, and efficient.
Special started with two incredible etched glass, very tall french doors that I found on an auction adventure. They are now a soft turquoise. One is on sliding hardware at the bedroom entrance and the other, the bath. The XL twin beds each have a light, an outlet, several cubbies and lots of space underneath. The TV swivels for one or both. There is hanging space and a chair for you sit to put your shoes on.
The bathroom has white vertical subway tile with glass mosaics, great shower, and a custom concrete sink by one of our local artists.

The dining room has an old oval oak table. There is an assortment of tablecloths, a chalkboard that is quite fun for messages, doodles or your chef's menu. It has a crazy chandelier and a painting of a frog named Moe that will just make you smile. There are french doors that open onto the side deck that overlooks Maria's Garden.
The kitchen is soft spring green with black granite counters, fridge with icemaker, coffee and coffee maker, gas range, dishwasher, glassware, silverware and plate service for 10, great pots and pans, stainless steel island work table. Easy access to the kitchen through the back door and laundry room for small events. You can try one of our many downtown restaurants listed on the fridge, prepare your own meals, or we can help you select a caterer or chef.
